In my previous work as a retailer in Scotland's tourist industry, I actively sought out products that were Scottish, but which didn't rely on traditional images to mark them as such. And what wonderful products they are.
I first launched Daisy Cheynes as a wee website from my home in Crieff in 2007 to promote these products, before moving to Edinburgh and opening our 'bricks and mortar' store in the lovely Stockbridge in February 2011, where we've been ever since!
Daisy Cheynes is named in memory of my Mum, whose maiden name was Cheyne and so was affectionately known as Daisy to her school friends! She also had a wee shop in Edinburgh, so naming my family business in her memory seemed like a great idea.
I have actively sought out Scottish products which present their identity in a modern or abstract way, along with other items from small and artisan suppliers across Scotland, the rest of the UK and Ireland, and have brought together a collection of beautiful items at our shop in Edinburgh and on this website for you to browse and purchase, for yourself or as gifts for friends and family.
And if you're coming to visit Edinburgh, then drop us an email and we'll welcome you warmly in our shop. I hope that you enjoy browsing Daisy Cheynes and that you find a gift that you like or that you'd like to send to someone. I'd like to hear from you, so drop me a line, and tell me what you think.
You can contact us by phone, email or Facebook. Why not like us and get offers and discounts first? And if you'd like to keep up to date with new additions to Daisy Cheynes, why not sign up for Cheyne-Mail, our monthly newsletter? We won't sell or give away your email address and of course you can unsubscribe at any time.
Thanks for visiting.
